The Funny dog names list has names for dogs who are memorable, unique and downright Funny. Even if you don’t have a funny pup, you may just want a name that tickles you every time you call your dog. If you are a comedian or wanna-be, that might be another reason for a funny name.
Take at look at the photo to your right. The photographer obviously has a thing for capturing funny moments. That dog looks like a very wet Benji (actually, his name is Beto).
Here are a few more funny names that might fit the dog in the picture. Chewbacca or Chewy, Happy, Yoda, Scruffy or Pawl, a play on words for Paul.
For this list, I tried to avoid the most popular dog names like Max, Bella, Buddy, Rock and Lucy, just to keep you out of the mainstream. If you DO like popular names, check the top 100 dog names list for suggestions.
My Favorite Funny Dog names
Three of my favorite Funny dog names are Muttilda, Winnie the Pooch sand Jabba the Mutt. I also think Bob is very Funny, but you will have to check the list to see why.
I love one syllable dog names and there are quite a few on this list, including Boo, Fritz, Goose, Hooch, Lex, Moo and Punch. Feel free to head straight to the one syllable list and start snooping around.
One word of caution: Try to avoid one syllable names that sound like one of your dog training commands as it may confuse your dog. There may also be something you like on the Hunting dog names list, even if you don’t hunt.
Below is a list of more than 100 of my favorite Funny dog names, many with reasons why they made the list. Have fun while you are hunting. That’s the whole ideas of this list, right?
